Our experience at The River Studio was absolutely flawless. The studio apartment was beautifully presented, and the views added to its charm. Sarah, our host, was exceptional in every way. She was not only friendly but also maintained regular communication with us throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gesture of fresh bread and butter, as well as a small gift upon our arrival. We can not recommend The River Studio highly enough! My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend getaway. Sarah is a wonderful host and the river studio is beautiful, comfortable, has everything you need with stunning views. The location is a perfect distance from Launceston and the Tamar Valley with plenty to explore.

What a beautiful little oasis. The perfect home base for exploring Launceston and surrounds. Sarah was so wonderful to communicate with (thanks for the lovely chats!), and had some great local recommendations for cafes, bars, restaurants etc. The place itself is just wonderful - so many special touches like lovely buttery linen on the very comfy big bed, all the appliances quality which made it feel extra luxurious. Walking up to wallabies and bird song was also pretty spectacular. Can’t say enough good words!

If I could give this incredible Studio a 6 star rating ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I would. The most stunning, relaxing and comfortable accommodation we have stayed in for a very long time. Sarah and Phil have thought of everything and we could tell that they have poured their hearts and souls into making The River Studio a tranquil and breathtakingly beautiful place to stay. The indoor heater, bathroom amenities and furnishings are all top quality. The ability to sit on the deck with a quiet cuppa, enjoy the gorgeous sourdough they supplied along with the aromas of the homemade coffee, whilst watching the wildlife and views makes it all worthwhile. Sarah and Phil were extremely contactable and made an extra special effort for us when my husband had an emergency visit to the hospital which was sadly not part of our beautiful four day plan! They went above and beyond to ensure he could recover in time for our flight home and allow us extra time to pack up which we needed. Sarah and Phil, thank you.

An amazing private retreat with stunning views. The studio’s huge windows frame natural bush land, with a backdrop of the Tamar estuary and a foreground of well maintained garden perfectly. A variety of cute critters and birds put on a good show.
It is beautifully built, no expensive spared with the materials and fittings. The warm earthy tones and artful arrangement are a treat for the eyes. Quality fabrics and luxurious textures draw a relaxing energy. The bed is huge, and very comfortable, the double glazing mutes the outside world and the earth wall regulates the temperature…. you will probably sleep well here!!
Great bread, good coffee, strong shower, peace and quiet, just a joy to stay here.
Memorable. Highly recommended.
